The Fifth Protocol on "Agreement between the State Bank and the Tax Department on avoiding double taxation and preventing tax evasion on income" (hereinafter referred to as "The Fifth Decree") was officially signed. The State Bank and the Tax Department have completed the respective internal legal procedures necessary for Decree V to take effect from December 6. 2019. In Hanoi, the Fifth Decree applies to income earned in tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2020; At the Department of Taxation, this Decree applies to income earned in tax years beginning on or after April 1, 2020.
